Flexplate ticking

If not torque converter bolts the flywheel may be cracked around the crank between the bolts like mine was. It started as a ticking just like yours did.

I just noticed a tick/knock yesterday when I have my transmission in neutral with the clutch out. I can push the clutch pedal in and it will stop. I will have to look at my flywheel/flexplate too.

That sounds more like a throwout bearing.
