Flexplate ticking

Hey guys,
98 silverado l31/4l60e
I put a trans in it about a month ago and ever since its had this periodic tick/rattle noise coming for sure from the bellhousing area.. It only does it at idle to about 1000-1500 rpm if i hit the gas a sec i can usually make it do it but not always.. Is my flexplate mostly likey cracked somehow

I had a ticking sound coming out from that same location on my 99 silverado last summer it ended up being the starter.

Hmm but this starter is new and its been on there about 6 months and the ticking only started with this trans

Does it sound like something is lose and flying around in there?

I had the same problem back in high school, turned out to be a cracked flywheel and ended up stuck on the toll road.

No its a ticking sound like metal on metal its not constant thou it can change with rpm changes

Check torque converter bolts.

X2! The Torque convertor bolts can come loose and make all kinds of noise.
