I am wanting to flat tow my 99 k2500 suburban and wanting to know how others have gone about doing theirs, as far as brand of bars and how they were mounted. Only going to be pulling it about 3-5 times a year but long distance.

Does your transfer case allow you to shift into neutral? If not, I dont think flat towing is reccomended, unless you disconnect the drive shaft. Disregard my comment if you can.

For a tow bar I got one fabricated..The attaching piece to the hitch ball can be bought separately. The bar itself is 1 inch diameter square tubing and the bar is around 5 feet tall (which helps for leverage)..I might have some pics and I will post them up..
