I have a 93 C1500 WT with the 4.3 V6 with TBI. Between 0-35 MPH the truck just does not want to get moving right. Engine surges and is not giving proper power. This seems to only happen after the truck has sat for a while and the engine is cold. After driving it for a bit it goes away and it accelerates properly from a start, though it still seems a bit sluggish. I replaced the fuel filter, installed new exhaust and CAT, air filter, and ran Tehran fuel system cleaner through it but it still does it. Truck has 125k miles and has been properly maintained, no tranny issues or slippage and all fluids are clean and at the right level. Not sure what more it could be. Is this a common issue with old TBI systems or with higher mileage 4.3's?
