The pulley wheel on the pump has to come off first. For that you'll need a puller. The wheel is aluminum. It won't take kindly to being forced in any way. It WILL bend very easily. How do I know this? Lol!

I'd try a junkyard pump, they have as good of chance as squeaking as a new one (or so it seems)

had same problem, finaly did ps pump and it fixed it, not sure if 97 is like a 95, but get it with the resivor attached, got one without it, and broke the new one trying to put it on the old resivoir
been throught 2 of the pumps they have at advanced though, and about to get another, has a warranty, and im getting good at changing it, can do it in about 20 minutes, but it leaks a quart every week or so
