Educate me on this...

What are the differences between a stock c1500 and c2500? Mostly wondering about front suspension. 2500's sit 3" higher but the coil springs are the same length? I know an inch of that is the tires but where does the rest come from? Is it just the 8 lug trucks that sit higher or do the 6 lug (LD) trucks sit higher too?

2500s have:

- Heavy duty frame
- Much larger brakes
- Different rear springs for heavier loads
- Stronger rear end (14 bolt)

Not sure about the specific differences with the IFS but I don't believe they are interchangeable
