I have a 1998 GMC C1500 2 wheel drive extended cab short bed. Currently has the rough country 4 inch spindle lift and 2 inch blocks in the back. I don't like the way the the spindles make the front end sit about an inch higher than the back. I was planning on doing a front end rebuild with new control arm bushings and ball joints and was think about getting 2 inch lift springs to bring the front up and then add 3 inch leaf springs in the back to level it. With the extra lift is there any thing else I would need to change such as longer brake lines?

I have the rough country 4" lift kit. Yes you'll need longer brake lines and imo longer sway bar links... however I bought ss brake lines and have them loose in the front. They work fine just not bolted like the factory ones were.. I also have rear spacers because the tires were noticably narrow compared to the front

Did the same on my 1993 Chevy C1500. 4” lift spindles, with a 2” block in the back and an add-a-leaf kit from Zone Off-road that was supposed to lift it an additional inch. The front still sat higher than the back. I added the RAS(Road Active Suspension) coil helper in the back, and now the truck sits 1” higher on the back and it tows way better. Can’t say enough good stuff about the RAS kit, especially for the price. Putting an RAS kit of my 2011 Silverado 1500 as well.

What does this ras kit run $?? And what does it exactly do if added on top of a rear 4” block lift . Useful only in towing situations?
