The Dorman bracket doesn't work without mods, the screw that holds the cam sync sensor down fouls the bracket corner. Tried every other orientation but none of the bends work. It's only a bit more than the diameter of the screw so grinder, dremel, or even hacksaw can make it work pretty easily. Pictures at some point; might just be holding the bracket up as I have no use in fully installing it unless someone wants it with a new cap (BET supplied) and a distributor gear that looks in pretty darn nice shape for $20 and the ride...
You're correct on the brass vs. copper, was after a long day but didn't want to kick the can of updating things any farther.
