ok gents here’s my dumb question of the day.
What sensors from the engine feed into the transmission controller? From my understanding the only values I can find is the readings from the tps on the throttle body..
Reason I’m asking is I’m about to do a full engine swap on a 383 stroker (finally got the engine built) that is running a stand-alone fuel injection system and was trying to figure out if I can leave the ecu/tcu in place and feed the tps (the standalone unit uses the same tps as the factory unit) instead of spending the extra cash and getting a msd trans controller

Yes, you need a TPS signal, RPM signal and VSS to make it shift. You can use a program like TunerPro RT to turn off the engine codes.
