I made my first solo trip cross country with nothing but my '94 Silverado (and a dirt bike)!
1994 C1500

Before I left, I installed a transmission cooler and replaced brake lines along with general maintenance. The trans cooler helped so much - especially on steep mountain passes once I got West.
At every stop, I thoroughly checked everything to catch any potential issues before they happened. The only issue I had throughout the trip was a slow leak from the differential. I regularly checked the gear oil and replaced the gasket as soon as I had the chance. Considering I didn't need any major repairs, gas was definitely my biggest expense!
The trip in it's entirety was a bit over 3,000 miles. I made it to my destination and the beast still runs strong. It's still a constant work in progress but I was so proud of it's performance and making it smoothly from coast to coast! Thought I would share - Autumn
