Pretty long post so here goes.
2000 Cadillac Escalade
1 - My front parking lights (Amber ones) havenever worked on the truck. The turn signals work fine. When the signal is on, the little marker light works as well. Just no park lights.
2 - Fog Lights just recently went out. I get the light on the switch and the fuse is fine.
3 - My DRL's arent working. I have the dash light. When i manually turn on the lights, they come on. Now the funny thing is when i press the button on my mirror to trigger the lights, the headlightscome on and te DRL symbol goes away. If i go into the light, DRL symbol comes back but no lights.
I swapped the DRL diode when i changed my dashboard out (junkyard unit) Prior to the diode swap, drls were very finiky. I would have to press and hold the button on the mirror repeatedly before it triggered. After the swap, the DRL's themselves dont work, my fogs were working at first but they went out.
Another weird thing is tonight (when i noticed that my fogs werent working) i was checking fuses and light operation and i noticed that for a split second, my park lights came on. (They NEVER came on before) I looked, flipped the switch off then on again and nothing. I pulled the same fuse that i pulled and replaced prior to me noticing they were on (DRL/Fog Fuse) to replicate and still nothing.
I've been searching and searching but can't figure out for the life of me whats going on but im sure these are related in some way. Ive looked at several forums and tried all that ive come across but nothing worked. Hopefully someone has some insight.
