Those fuel pump provisions are on the newer blocks too, you just have to run a cam with a fuel pump lobe on it and drill the hole for the fuel pump rod to ride in. They make a template to do this with a regular hand drill.

And some blocks are completely ready to go, my 638 block had all roller provisions and fuel pump completely ready.

It has a 1989 date code on it, suspect that is the ready fuel pump is ready.

Not sure yet. They are dished with 4 valve reliefs. Either way, I've already been poking around with Tuner Pro RT, getting ready to order an APU1 from moates.net
