Regarding ACDelco ATF Type III,
These 4L60-Es and 4L80-Es originally called for Dexron III, so the ACDelco ATF Type III is an appropriate ATF.
I use Castrol Transmax Dex/Merc.

The guy at Autozone told me dex 6 n they only had full synthetic..the trans is Rebuilt n the guy before me put some fluid in but i dint know what cause he passed n never drove it yet...i hope i didnt screw it up ??i only put 1 gal so far cause im trying to figure out how mych he hadFor the older transmissions i run the cheapest Dex III i can find.. Its usually Vavoline at walmart.
Any DEX III will be fine tho. Dex IV is backwards compatible.
