Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

I have an Xtool D7 that did the abs procedure on my 99 3500.

Didn't help my problem but it did cycle the pump an everything just like the videos showed with a tech2.

On the EBC4, yes.

Doesn't apply to the EBC310.

Exactly as specified by GM in the attachment.

Here's the PT version of the tool. The Kent-Moore looks identical but with a yellow cap, from pictures I've seen. Also a shot of one installed, and thebar clamps that can be used instead if you dont have the tool.

That’s what I’m gathering.

I also think that there is a difference between 96/97 and the 98/99 trucks as far scan tool compatibility, but I don’t know how to prove that.

Could you not then…go to boneyard…grab a 98 pcm…and swap in JUST to cycle ABS?

I had a thought that was similar to that. I think I saw that HP tuners is also compatible with the 98/99. (Possibly further confirming suspicions) I wonder what the differences are

Didn’t you say that your new Autel would do 98/99?

Yes. Well the function test is listed as an available selection for those years but not others.

Going back and reading the reviews that said it worked in gmt400 trucks were all 98/99 trucks.
