Alright guys I’m having an issue with my temp gauge not working. I’ve replaced the sender and the sensor. Tried 3 different clusters. Anyone have any ideas?

What year? Is the rest of the cluster working just fine? Depending on year check the grounds by and or on the thermostat housing bolt. Weirdly enough they are the grounds for the cluster. I wanna say there should be 3 of them IF my memory serves me right.

It’s a 98 model. Everything else on the cluster works just fine.

You probably know this, are you looking at the one in the side of the head between #1 & #3 cylinders and not the one on the intake? At least that's the layout on the older blocks...

What is the gauge reading (always hot, always cold, etc.)?

Ground the wire from the sending unit to the gauge, the gauge should swing over to 'hot'.If it doesn't,you have wiring problems from the sender to the gauge.

Here’s the diagnostic for a 98. It’s what Chuck_13 said above, ground it and see what happens.

Alright tried grounding it and nothing happened, does anyone happen to have a diagram for where the wire ends up?
