Will a 1985 caprice classic chassis work with a 96 single cab .?

Years ago on redneck videos there was a guy driving a Caprice classic mounted on a lifted 4x4 . All four guys having great time , plush interior, mud , big tires. Big Hog Heaven!
California Highway patrol had a few of these all hot rodded.
They were this body style. I still think this would be a fun project for an LS 6.0. :waytogo:

Bolt on? It would be a miracle. It may or may not be a good fit for a swap with fabrication, as that kind of thing is being done now with the Ford Panther Chassis (Crown Vic). It's not usually done with trucks as new as ours, Though. It's done with decades older vehicles.

The one I remember had a straight front axle so pre GMT 400.

I think it would be easier to do a solid axle swap up front and convert it to 4x4 vs using the whole chassis. A donor truck would help though!
