Change color of transmission shifter indicator?

Googled it, couldnt find anything... maybe used the wrong words... anyway

I'm going to change the dash bulbs over to blue leds. Seems silly to havew blue gauges and a bright orange shifter light. I wouldnt mind purple though.

I thought I saw a tut for this at some point in my life, cant find it. Anyone have any ideas?

They're individual LED's soldered to the gauge cluster circuit board. Get out your soldering iron & solder sucker..

You can see the row of 'em down there; they shine up through that plastic divider assembly attached to the face:

They look like standard leds. Easy enough, I may have some purple ones around. I figured they would be smd leds, still easy. Thanks for the pic. You'd think they could come up with a more simple way as opposed to 7 individual leds.
