On my TBI I changed out the oil pan gasket too, had to drop it to get the timing cover off. I belive the new timing cover gasket set will come with a small piece for the front of the oil pan. You may also need valve cover gaskets too. Dont forget a harmonic balancer puller.

If you're getting a new cam you NEED new lifters, it's also a good idea to get a new timing gear/chain set. Those along with what everyone else has said. And get some cam paste to spread all over the cam and lifters before you put them in.

Not if they're roller lifters.

Why do I keep forgetting about that? :dud:

This has to be the second time I've told him that without remembering he had a Vortec.

But yep, don't need to replace the roller lifters, but everything else would be good to get.

I should also note that it wouldn't be a bad idea to get valve springs to match your cam.
