Actually they are pretty good in the snow. My driveway has a slight incline pulling out to the road. Doesn't matter if its heavy wet snow or lite fluffy stuff. On the road there great, prolly one of the better all season tires I've had. Plus wide tires generally don't do very well in snow lol....

Picked up the 6.0. Kinda pissed me off as I told the guy I wanted the motor, but when I get there I see the truck, but not the motor that was in it. But he had an 05 I think 6.0 with 120k, got another harness n ecm for cable, 706 heads n I believe a trail blazer Intake. part number comes up as one but then says regular 5.3. So guess wasn’t horrible deal, just irritated me he sold motor originally inquired about...

If the last 3 digits of the heads are 706 it's not a 6.0

Uhh, 706 heads are 4.8/5.3 heads. That motor should have 317 heads on it. Trailblazer intake can be ID'd by the 4 bolt TB flange and yes, they also put them on the GenIV 5.3 motors.

I typed that on my phone, lil confusing lol. It is a 6.0, says on the back of the block and 317 heads. He gave me the 706 heads, the intake has 4 bolts, but he gave me a cable TB. One ECM/wiring is for DBW, the other has the 0411 ECM/wiring, for DBC.

You can get an adapter for the TV, but the hole in the 4 bolt intake is 87mm so bigger than the 3 bolt TB.

Swapping the manifold is still worth it. Shorter, fatter runners. More power across the whole rpm range even with a smaller TB.

The intake is complete too, injectors, rails, not sure out pigtails for injectors, but TB is there. A new TB for cable, for this intake is under $200, so not horribly priced if have to get one. But if I'm gonna be mod'n the engine sure won't hurt.
