Brake booster - 96 vs 97

I need a brake booster for my 96 (JB7 brakes). Cheapest one on Rock Auto is $80, and a week waiting, but my local wrecking yard has a 97 (also JB7) with what looks like a new booster that I can get today for $20. Interchanges that I'm looking at list the 94-96 as a different booster than 97-00, but the master cylinder is the same for both.
I see lots of threads about NBS brakes, but somehow I don't thing they're talking about a 97. So what's different between the 96 and 97 boosters?

Hope someone can tell you. I'd have made a guess that they were the same.

My '97 has JD7 brakes--hydroboost.
