94 RCSB .... is there a different cross member for auto or manual? I’ve converted from auto to manual with an LS / TKO-600 combo and can’t get firewall clearance, current crossmember is all the way forward .

They are all the same. Maybe it needs a different mount, or the whole crossmember needs moved forward?

Did you use the Dirty Dingo, et. al. adapters (don't know what you call them...) to put the LS back to where the SBC flywheel was? I wouldn't think the stock trans. crossmember would work, since these trucks never came with that tranny. Sounds like it needs to get shifted back a bit...time for some fabrication!

So with the dirty dingo adapters the bell housing won't fit? (or whatever you call that end of a manual transmission.) Wasn't this tranny used on sports cars? I can't imagine having a larger housing than than the larger of the 2 automatic trannies on these trucks.

Are those LS adapters adjustable? Maybe slide the engine/tranny forward to clear. Once you obtain the clearance, install the tranmission crossmember wherever it needs to.

A few photos would be really helpful here. Neither engine or tranmission were installed on these trucks, so you most likely to make adjustments to make them fit, although engine obviously is a common swap.

Nothing to do with bell housing, valve covers too close to fire wall....I guess I was hoping for an easy fix...tomorrow I’ll remove the Crossmember, shift the engine
Forward and build a cross member...
