10 coats of clear? Yikes! Looks good, but aren't there limits on how much you can build up the product? Like a minimum and maximum mils?

The guy who painted my truck said max should be 3. Something about to much can cause cracking or something.

there is absolutely no reason to use 10 coats of clear, did you bridge your door gaps?
Paint companies do not recommend it and have requirements on maximum mil thickness. 10 coats of clear, plus the mil thickness below the clear will most likely fail. Your edges will be prone to chipping and the other areas will crack.

only reason to go thick is planned major wet sand and buff job and be back down to the max spec when done with all this .

otherwise 10 coats of clear = help me blow my money please .
