ABS ring removal from hub/rotor needed for use on 1993 C1500?

Due to changes in braking system between 94 and 95 model years, do the middle gen. GMT 400's even care if tone ring is present? Backwards compatible to put ringed hub/rotor from 1997 C1500 onto 1993 C1500? Any interference or does ring have to come off?

The ring doesn't matter u can leave on .. the rotor just make sure u have the heavy duty brakes if I recall they use different spindles
