93 silverado 2 key to 1 key 95 up

Anyone ever done this? Im assuming swap out key switch tumbler and 2 door handles? What all needs to be changed door wise? I need new ones regardless

1 key vehicles have larger tumblers. You would have to modify outer door handles and column. I dont see it being done but never say never I suppose

The issue is not the doors, its ihe ignition key. 95 up has a different steering column. You may be able to get a lock smith to rekey the doors same as the ignition, or the other way around. It means taking the lock apart, and changing the brass inserts that key the lock to open, to match the key.

He can get his '93 doors and ignition keyed alike. We used to do it for fleet trucks back in the day.

We had a parts counter guy that was handy with locks at the dealership. A lock smith could rekey the cylinders but I would not let him pull the doors apart to get the cylinders out.
