88-94 rod linkage to cable driven conversion

Has anyone swapped their 88-94 style rod shift linkage to a cable driven linkage of somesort?

For those who've followed my thread, contemplating an Allison 6 speed behind the 12 valve. :)

You would have to change to a 95+ column and cut a hole in the floor for the cable. I don't know if the 88-94 dash works right with the newer column but I don't think it would be an issue. Figure you'd have to rewire some stuff for reverse light and such because the NSS is on the column 88-94 and on the trans in later models.

when i get mine running right, i will be adding a cable floor to mine. going with this one:

my trans has been converted to full manual control and don't want to accidentally shift into reverse.
i'll remove the column handle, remove the mount on column section smooth and use a filler to smooth it out.
