700R4 VSS Fastener

'88 Chevy C1500 5.7L Stepside, 700R4 transmission
The fastener/bolt for the vehicle speed sensor on my tranny is missing. What size of fastener/bolt do I need to replace it?

It's probably M8x1.25 or M8x1.8 if I had to guess.

I would find a loose bolt from some other part of the truck to get the diameter and thread pitch and measure the depth of the hole for the under head length. It's likely to be very short like 13mm UHL.

Somebody on here will know and will pipe up soon enough if my method isn't feasible.
