Okay guys, I'm about to loose my damn mind. I have a 1995 gmc seirra k1500, 4x4 4l60e trans and all stock. So I bought the truck with no 2nd gear and drove it until it lost all gears (knew the trans was bad). Oredered a rebuilt transmission from a place in Bay City, MI. So this when it gets fun first trans from them lasted about 700 miles, pump failure (all diagnosis are ideas transmissions arent my strong suit) sent it back get another (warranty) well that one failed as well couldn't tell why. Got another that one failed. I called them and they said bring it down and they rebuilt it there. Turned out that one the plantary gears broke, well. That all was in early feburary. Well today the trans felt like it slipped some and looked at the guild, of course black and smelling bad. With this new trans it started smelling what I thought was trans fluid in the cab, however no leaks or anything anywhere. All of these were filled with OEM type fluid, new trans coolers each time filled right up to the lines on the dipstick. My question is could there be something thay is cooking these things? Truck isn't heavily abused or anything like that. I use it as a truck do tow and have a snowmobile in the back sometimes but nothing crazy. Any help would be appreciated.
