if someone was gonna throw one in their truck that they used to haul wood and pull other vehicles anything from a 6000 pound tahoe to a bare body, would the 5.3 be good enough stock to pull at highway speeds with a load and enough torque to spin 35's, obviously the 6.0 will do it better but i just want to know if the 5.3 with a 4l60e would do it with no mods???? thanks for the help

A 5.3 would do it, but a 6.0 would do it a heck of a lot better. But if you use your truck for a dd, and want fuel millage I would go with the 5.3

5.3 would work, but 6.0 would be much better, a tuned stock 6.0 will make a 5.7 vortec feel like driving a 4 cylinder at least in experience, but I also hate a vortec 350.

Depends on your pockets...... either will work just fine as long as you arnt pulling mountains all the time with a load. if you have a lot of up hill climbs with a load, 6.0!
