4wd light on floor shifter will not turn on

On my 91 k1500 when i turn on my dashlights the 4 wheel drive shifter lights up on the bottom 2 wheels but when i put it in fourwheel drive it goes into it but the top light will not light up. ive took it apart and switched bulb to the 2wd drive socket and the bulb is fine.So i dont know why the 4wd drive socket isnt getting any power.

Does your 4x4 work? If so check the switch wires up by the front diff

x2 If the TLA has given up the ghost your 4WD isn't engaging and the light won't illuminate...but will need more info to diagnose fully.

The truck goes into 4wd but the front axle light will not come on, on the floor shifter
