Yes, I know. And I said that I saw the videos yet my problem was still not explained. That's why I'm still trying to figure it out and hoping to glean some information from someone who's way more knowledgeable with transmissions than I am.

Update:

I ended up swapping out the torque converter to a reman AC Delco for an S-10. I forgot how nice it was to have lockup and the shift points are way better when getting on it. The P1870 hasn't come back and everything is working great except for one small issue. Also, I found out my leak was a torn transmission adapter to transfer case gasket. That's been replaced and no more leak.

All in all, I'm back to 100% with the transmission.
