thanks for the info I will pass it on to my friend. I was thinking if there would be something wrong it would be putting an obd1 tans in an obd2 tuck. I have also read that 95 is a odball year and will not interchange with any thing do not know if this is true or not.

it requires internal mods to the VB and sometimes the need to disable things in the tune. Very possible but usually the people that are swapping these units are being cheap and extra cost is beyond what they can afford. I recommend rebuilding the unit that is in the vehicle. only source out a core if the case is damaged (or the very rare cases where there is something wrong with the case that the eye cannot see). you gave him good advice IMO....
