4 wheel drive conversion

Right now I have a 96 single cab C1500. I've been thinking about looking for a K1500 that needs a body and possibly a motor and swapping my body and everything over. I'm just curious if anyone has done this before. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, I'm still pretty new to the forum.

Its really not a bad swap at all, you will need the wiring harness to the donor truck for the 4x4 to work.

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be too hard. My main concern is getting it registered and getting tags.

Not if he swaps the 2wd body on to a 4x4 frame it'll all be there already

Shouldn't be a problem just register whichever cab you use
