Yep... no way. It's a half ton to start, the old body style, so it's not a 1999. It also does not have a 5.4. It may be a 1998 with a 5.0 or a 5.7. Definitely a 1997 or 1998 with the third door.

1999 classic is what it should say. they made the old body in 99 too.

1999 classic is what it should say. they made the old body in 99 too.

AFAIK, only the 2500, 3500 had that body in 1999. I have never seen a 1500 'classic' registered as a 1999. It may be possible, but I have never seen it. One family member had a 2500 classic, a 00 model year, 6.5TD.

Lots of 3/4 ton 99 and 2000 gmt400s and there are some 1999 half ton obs trucks. Not as common though
