My guess is he wants to retain the existing ride quality and load carrying capacity.

I'm running a 1" ord zero rate add a leaf In the rear on my truck. I have a 4" ord shackle flip kit that I bought way back in like 2008 I have just never put it on .

For now I'm just going to run a 2" factory (gmt800) rear block....
That "lowering shackle" does look like an option in the future though

I want to maintain the ride it has now. Thing rides nice
