1998 gmc k1500 power steering leak

i have a leak behind the electric valve i know there is a bypass kit that deletes the valve but is there more things i need to do to it

nope just the bypass tube and make sure the threads aren't messed up and then get it nice and tight

Have you considered cleaning/inspecting the leak to see if it's merely a loose fitting or poor crimp at the rubber/steel tube junction?

i haven't taken a look at it yet but every time i put a quart in about 30 minutes its empty
