1998 5.7 savana van performance for towing

I currently tow a 6x15 enclosed trailer with my 1998 GMC Savana conversion van. It works great for the family to travel to the motorcycle races in. The problem is that the van lacks the performance I would like to have while towing. Is there any programmers or other upgrades I could do to this van to make it tow a little better?
Any help would be appreciated.

I just received my tuned black box for the van. Is it a straight plug in or will I have to take it to the dealer for a re-learn?

Did you send them your pcm or did they supply it?

They supplied the pcm box. Do I have to take it to the dealer?

Gonna have to get them (the dealer) to do a crank relearn (case relearn is another term IIRC
