I'm due overdue for a new turbo, I'm torn between HX35 & HX40. I'll prob end up just making the hybrid. Cause yes while faster spool will put a smile on your face every time you hit the gas, having high end highway passing power will put a BIGGER smile on your face & and a frown on the prius in your rear view mirror [emoji41].
Also, to add, I run 235/85/16 Michelin LTX AT^2 on PYO wheels. Swapping stock steel for these aluminum rims gained me 1+mpg immediately (and forever). Highly recommended for anyone still on factory steelies. Bolt on MPG. Literally.
Here's a pic of me & that heav long haul. I was prepared to adjust hitch height as necessarily to make level even for the 1 trip cause I'm OCD like that when it comes to wear on my truck but I don't think it could have been more perfect. I did crank all my shocks up to max adjustment (Rancho RS9000) idk if that made a difference though, didn't do before and after, just did.
Coolant temp never exceeded 200*F either, burb did good [emoji57]
