1994 4l60 or 4l80?

redoing the transmission lines on my 94 standard cab stepside truck. After just replacing my driveshaft to transmission seal and advanced auto giving me a seal without a boot I returned it to match the booted seal that was on my trans which was apparently for a 4l80. But then I counted the trans pan bolts(16) and now question myself about ordering the transmission lines with coolant style fittings and what is actually correct for my trans. Any info appreciated!

What’s the truck? A 1500 or 2500 6 lug would be the 4l60, 8 lug 4l80.

Stepside regular cab would make it a 1500, so 4L60.

At least at the tranmission cooler lines for your year, both units have the fittings near each other near the front of the case and there's plenty of flexibility so that the lines could actually connect to either.

Easy peasy. Round electrical connector on the driver's side? 4L80E Round connector on top on the passenger side? 4L60E

Even easier, look for the 4L80 stamped on the bell housing.
