I got my adaptor at a local parts store for about 8 bucks. I have the same truck, 90 2wd and my brakes have never felt this good since I've owned it. (Going on 20 years)About to do this on my 90 2wd, as my rears locked up on me yesterday and had to unplug the module wires to get home.
Does anyone have the Part number and brand name for the adapter at AutoZone ? ( Crap shoot every time I go there if they have it or not)
Also is there caps made to cover the plugs on the ABS wires instead of cutting them?

HEFFTONE, or anyone....can ANYONE please tell me that has actually deleted the ABS.......does the CRUISE CONTROL STILL WORK??? Thanks to anyone that can answer....the Cruise is my only worry...I don't want to lose it.
Im getting ready to do this tomorrow and my dump valve doesnt look like the one in the pics on page 1. Is this going to be an issue? You must be registered for see images attach
I have a 1989 C1500 Silverado that has had a soft pedal for 20 years... I dumped the dump valve and the braking improved tremendously, I also replaced my original master cylinder 1" bore with a new master cylinder 1 1/8" bore and now it stops on a dime with a firm pedal... I did have to use the Edelmann 258450 adapter...
