‘90 Cheyenne Speaker Suggestions.

I recently picked up a Single Cab ‘90 Cheyenne 2500 with two blown out speakers in the dash (weird.) I bought a pair of Skar 4x6s thinking they’d fit, but they’re a little too deep and hit my air vent. Any suggestions for me here? Do I need new speakers all together, or can I make these work somehow? I bought 4 total hoping to put two in the dash and two in the door pillar.

You're going to need dash speakers with smaller magnets for sure. I'd recommend trying to find some 4x6 "plate" speakers with a round woofer and separate tweeter. That way if you have a clearance issue on one side you can just flip them around in the hole. A plate speaker will generally sound better anyway. Like these:
