    94 5.7L TBI stumbling

Personal opinion, just sounds like a misfire due to incorrect firing order to me? almost like if you were to swap 2 spark plug wires?? would explain the stumble, little shake, as well as raw fuel at the tailpipe?? I'm assuming that you have already checked this out? Then again, that...

    Swamp Hound's 1997 Yukon Z71 Build

No worries man! had to put the rest of the exhaust on hold briefly, bank account magically went dry the other day, and havnt had any time to work on it lately, just starting a new job this week and have all my tools packed up and ready to move to the new shop, kind of a hassle to unpack stuff...

    Swamp Hound's 1997 Yukon Z71 Build

The Flowtech headers are great man! love them! the motor just feels a lot healthier when I'm driving it and I can definitely notice the power gain. I don't know if it actually gave the motor a bunch of horsepower, but it feels like its got a lot more torque. Like, if I'm going down the road...

    5.3 or ls1 in a 1996 k1500?

sorry, didn't look at your question, I believe theres a couple members on here who have done a 5.3L swap without breaking the bank as bad as you would think.

Depends on what kind of power you're looking for? Personal Opinion: LS1

New 1996 CCLB 3500 454. Help set my expectations on power or is there a problem

hahaha! yeah I just noticed that! the part number that my parts guy gave me for my ACDelco plugs was simply just " 1 " lol pretty easy to remember! idk if its different from a 350 to a 454 though, hmm.. seafoamed, plugs done, wires, etc.. let me think and get back to you on that. now it's going...

New 1996 CCLB 3500 454. Help set my expectations on power or is there a problem

Have you seafoamed it yet? that stuff works wonders, and it's like $12 at any auto parts store. Worth it to try it out if you havn't yet. I would have a set of new plugs on hand to replace right after though. ACDelco Part number : ( 1 )

New 1996 CCLB 3500 454. Help set my expectations on power or is there a problem

I agree, I wouldn't bother with anything other than ACDelco plugs, these trucks don't like anything else. Kind of an un-written rule with GMT's of any body style is when you're replacing factory parts and accessories stick to ACDelco parts, it's what GM used from the factory.

    The **GREAT** Valance Debate

OMFG! Right across from that farm right!!? I know exactly where you're talking about! I bottomed out my first old B2200 in the exact same spot a few years ago, managed to put a crack in the frame less than an inch ahead of the c-notch on the drvr side and mangled the roll pan on it too! Added up...

    The **GREAT** Valance Debate

^^ That sucks man!! Lougheed or the #1??? LOL! ^^ Personal Preference. Valance on a 2x4 ties the front end together a bit. Personal opinion; on a 4x4, I feel that the valance looks better when it's either lying in a scrap parts pile, on an add in the "Free" section of...

    Tahoe rear suspension sag?

I stand corrected lol. Apparently everything I thought was common knowledge about vehicles is incorrect, guess i'll just stick to this forum to gain information from now on. Cheers.

    Top lights

I always use thicker gauge wire for lights, 12 gauge usually. If you're running 6 lights, depending on the watts of each bulb, you might want to split them up in 2 separate circuits, one for 4 of the lights and another for the other 2 so that you don't overload either circuit. Should use relays...

    Tahoe rear suspension sag?

If the shocks are not functioning correctly or if they are busted, then the leaf springs are doing all the work, isn't that what shocks do? Work with the springs to hold the suspension up? Not saying that they will lift your truck, I'm putting a 2" block in the rear to lift it, shocks won't lift...

    Tahoe rear suspension sag?

Mine are a little sagged, but one of my shocks is on it's way out and the other one is blown, so it's kind of hard to tell. I'm replacing my shocks in a couple weeks, putting some rancho 1-3" lift shocks in the rear. I would recommend replacing your rear shocks if they havnt been replaced...
