My A/C isn't working, I've replaced almost everything.

    Here’s a couple reference charts I use.

You’ll have to have a manifold set at least so you can see pressures on both sides. If there’s clog, orifice tube being full of aluminum from compressor failure as an example, you’ll have way to much pressure on one side and low pressure on the other. Here’s an example of an inexpensive gauge...

    Free to me GMC 2500

There has been a rash of door spring tools that are thinner than they used to be. The springs are absolutely a pain regardless. Maybe if you can straighten out the compressor and replace the bolt you can use a combination of techniques. Spring in the vice then use the compressor as a holding...

I’m mad and it’s not even my truck. Why can’t stuff just work like it’s supposed too?

    The Stupid Interior Questions Thread

I’ve heard excellent things about Solution Finish. (It’s on my list of detailing products to get and try) I like to use aerospace 303 on interior plastics. I wouldn’t use it on pedals or front matts though because it’s a tiny bit slick. But not nasty like armor all.

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

Maybe I’m doing something wrong… the packaging that @FrankieD61 posted, indicates bi-directional function. Also, pictures of the packaging on eBay seem to be the only information I can find

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

The ABS cartridge for my MT2500 came in, but I don’t see any extra features or menus. “ABS Codes & Data” is the only menu option. This is the same option available with any other “troubleshooter” cart installed in the second slot.

    Suspension parts questions

The c-clamp press works, but bushings CAN and usually do end up being a serious pain. Especially if you’re using hand tools and not an air impact. I’m a mechanic with access to good air tools and I still buy loaded control arms. The labor to replace bushings and ball joints /usually/ out ways...

    Suspension parts questions

Not necessarily, I was more referring to the custom aftermarket stuff, like fabricated tubular control arms. But that’s if you’re worried about sticking to originality and you don’t plan on using the truck outside of its original design parameters. Acdelco/Delphi, moog, supreme mevotech etc...

    Suspension parts questions

The ttx stuff is really nice. Those forged arms are probably easier to replace the bushings in than the stamped steel versions. That being said, bushings CAN be a wicked job without a press. If you have a press, you probably have shop air and maybe a torch. As far as retaining vehicle value...

Heck yea. That’s a much better result. I wonder if they’ll have a similar sound or if they’ll be a modern generic tone.

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

Confirmed: Snap-on Solus Pro with 17.2 will activate the automatic bleed procedure in a 97’ with 4WAL EBC310. Autel MaxiCheck Pro with 5.09 will NOT on a 97’ but has the procedure/function listed for 98’/99’ 4WAL EBC310.

    Best Spider

I don’t think so, they are just really tight and there is a kind of groove they sit in. I used one of those needle nose pliers that has the tips bent in a circle like spark plug boot pliers to pull mine out. Gentle twisting helped walk them out.

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

The juice that comes out of the bottom of a dumpster does the same thing to garbage truck windshields. So does hydraulic oil that’s leaking out of a PTO pump mounted to the front bumper of a garbage truck. Makes the rubber swell and the blades all squiggly.
