    Something like that sounds like it makes sense. It only tends to do it after you have been driving and you stop and let it sit for 20 minutes or so but not if you just shut it off then started right back up.

    I am not sure what you are talking about with the open and closed loop but I do know that it does it on cold start and on warm start but not always on either. And I do need to get a code reader on it thats for sure.

    if i wanted to kick my 454 to the curb and stick a 350 in my 88' k3500 with tubo 400 tranny, would the 350 be a bolt in deal or would i have wiring issues or anything like that? im thinking if i got a 350 from another 88' (or close) it might not be to hard to swap.

    i am looking for ideas on quick trail side fixes for when your actuator goes out in the hills. i read somewhere on here someone stuck a socket in there but does anyone know what size works or have other quick fixes to get a guy out of the trails to the part store? my truck is a 88 3500
