I'm going to build the vortex because I have to do it a little bit at a time I'm keeping the stock intake as I've had the ecm done by someone. I'd like to you know bump it up a little.     98 c1500 no tach and only 3rd gear!

    ignition switch. There will be a fuse in my 98K1500 it is labeled PND321. if with the key on there is no power on that fuse then it is the ignition switch.

    Id go with the tune. And install an electric fan. Just did my 98 and it was the best two things I've ever done to my truck!!!!

    Hook up a volt meter at the battery and see what it is really charging. One thing ive found over the years with my 98 K1500 is the gauges are not very accurate.

    How long ago was that? And who did it if you don't mind me asking. Seems to me that is really the only way to bypass the passlock is have it tuned out.

    Yeah the schematic I looked at listed it as a VCM. But its on its way to get a tune and disable the stupid PASSLOCK.

    Yeah I'm starting a new job week from this Monday and will be in a company truck so I'm ready to get at them leaks. It's real bad about a quart between oil changes but still want it fix right.

    Yeah I was afraid the diff would have to come down. I don't have to do all that just new pan gasket and timing cover got a little leak.

    O2 bank1 sensor1 was all over the place from .130v to .845v and sensor 2 stayed about .250v Then bank2 sensor 1 was all over the place from .240v to .780v And sensor 2 stayed right about .280v

    Long term bank 1 was going between 12 and 10 percent bank2 between 7 and 8 Short term bank 1 between 0 and 1 and bank2 -1 and 2 percent.

    Well I finally got around to messing with my truck the other day and I hooked my scanner up to it and the scanner says it is running at 194 while the gauge reads about 160 so I'm thinking there is nothing wrong with the temp sensor up front Any other ideas why it might be running rich?

    Spider and thermostat are fairly new. Replaced last year when I put the new engine in.
