Weird stalling issue

My 88 K1500 350 auto overdrive, Truck starts perfect, motor idles and revs perfect. As soon as I put it in gear it dies. It will move if I keep the idle up and stay off the brake, but obviously that's hard on a driveline. Is there any idea of what would cause this? There is no sputtering or...

4l60e swap question

Pretty simple question, will the 4l60e from a 98 small blazer with the removable bell housing swap into a 97 suburban without the removable bell housing? I know I'll have 1 less clutch pack but that I'm not worried about, I'm not doing any towing with it. Just want to know if it's a direct swap.

5.3 and trans swap into a 97

Ok guys, I gave up on my idea of using the older 5.7 and trans in my 97. I picked up a complete 2001 suburban, its rusty but has a great 5.3 and trans. Being I have motor trans and computer, how hard of swap will this be putting it in my 97 suburban? Ive found alot of info on motor alone swaps...
