EGR Valve??

I have a 98 chev with the 5.7 and im having some problems with my EGR. The light kept coming on so i decided to buy a new EGR valve however it never help. The light came back on so we looked into it and the computer is showing that it is stuck open. It was reading 16 on the scanner when it was...

engine light blinking

i have a 98 z71 and it started acting up lately...when im driving sometimes, the truck starts to jotter an the dash an stuff starts to bounce..its almost like when your rotors are warped and the truck starts bouncing when coming to a stop...however this will do it at speeds up around 80 or...

leaving lights on..is there a dinger?

well i got a 98 z71, an when i leave my lights on i have no dinger to tell me they are still on. Its not to bad when im driving beause i know better but when my family drives it sometimes they forget..so is there a dinger sapose to be in these trucks to tell you they r on?

new tires..what to go with??

well i got 285 mud terrains on now an they r needed to be changed..however not sure if i want to put new mud terrains back on due to the fact that they changed the tire to a dif lug pattern..(not sure if i like the new look)..so i was just wondering what everyone else is runnin for a mud tire..i...

MAF sensor

well guys, i have owned this truck for about a year now (98 z71) an when i got the truck the MAF code came up..took it down an they said the sensor must be bad..so i went along with them an they replaced it..2 days later the code comes back on..i take it back in an they said it must be another...

hey, i was just wondering if anyone would happen to know how much it is for the chrome trim for the bottom of the truck..i believe it comes in a kit, an want to know how much it would be to purchase...thanks

rear bumper

i live in new brunswick canada an wondering where the best place is to order parts for my 98 z71. my rear bumper is starting to rust out so i need to start looking for another one..any suggestions would be good.

chev sign

i see some trucks with the chev sign blacked out on the front grill. How can a lad go about doing this. Can u paint the old one somehow or is there a aftermarket one

Need advice

hey i am new to this site aswell new to the 98 z71. I just picked one up in the summer in awsome shape however there is starting to be a hesitation somewhere around 70 km/h when not on gas. Just wondering what this could mean an what should be done to fix this? someone told me changing the fluid...
