Did you notice fuel pressure drop with the key off? If you put a stock replacement regulator on the truck how do you know it hasn't gone bad again?

99 7.4 cam replacement

Maybe it did and I mis-remembered (retarding the timing didn't make sense), either way the stock timing set doesn't allow straight up timing

have read that replacing the timing set with aftermarket will install the cam correctly instead of *retarded* like they were from GM.

i know this is an older post but look a newby used the search feature, any special maintenance for engines with those mileages? I bought a 454 Vortec from a truck that supposedly had 180k when the roof was damaged and the guy used parts for another truck. just wondering if there is anything I...

Another FNG

Hi Im Kacy and I am addicted to... well anything that has an engine. I have an 87 K10 with factory TBI and the K10 boards have limited help with TBIs so you guys get to deal with me. Recently picked up a 7.4l/4l80e combo and harness from a 98 c3500 to swap into my truck later.
