Competed for the first time yesterday

Truck ran good, 8.0x's all day with proper cool down, always makes its best pass right off the trailer. The final pass was a 8.11, with less than 20 min to cool down it was consistant with my heat issues, it was also the closest race i had all day. Truck in the other lane was a newer Dodge Ram...

Nice weather = New pics

Not sure on the drop, it was lowered when i bought it, the wheels are Boss 338's 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rears.

Thanks guys, on the front i use a thin 7/16 spacer and trimmed the tabs down to get the cap to snap in, the tires are 275-40 on the front and 315-35 on the rear.

I would skip the gauge, it will just have you worried all the time its running to hot when its really not.

Have a new one made, the two i had, (stock 95 and the 90 454ss shaft) were too short, you can see them in the background of the pic. Plus i wanted the added strength of 1350 ujoints, its much beefier than the stock stuff. I hope to get the Caltracs on tomorrow, weather permitting. My only...

Shaft length from center to center of u-joint is 58.75". You can use the stock cross member, there are a series of holes already in the frame for different transmission mounting points. The driveshaft loop i have is just a Jegs universal, i think it was like $18 on sale, not sure i will be able...

Its back in, have to have a new driveshaft made, i had the one from the 454ss parts truck i had, but it was too short to use. I am having a new one made with all 1350 u-joints for the added strength. It will still be sitting on jackstands for the next two weeks since i'm due out on Wed morning...

After some serious internet searching and some under truck eyeball measuring, i have found the th400 to be 2.25" shorter overall in length, and the mount to be 4.437" (4 7/16" ) farther back. This may pose a problem with that brand new exhaust that i just put on days before the trans lost third...

I got my Caltracs and my transmission today, i'll be busy Sunday for sure. Trans is a Performance Automatic's TH400 good for 650hp, came with their converter with a stall rating of 2600-2800 rpm, not sure that is big enough but it gives me a lifetime warrenty. I'll see how it works out once it...

Random cylinder msifire!!!!!!

Man i feel your pain, i did the same thing while trying to fix the 96. I got fed up with trying to fix it, part after part, and nothing took care of it.
