    I do not know if u fellas know of any where that sells a gear box over haul kit but i can not find one summit, napa, autozone, jcwhitney,jegs none of them carry it. And a new one is around 699.00-400.00

    The tie rods are replaced and my other question is im not to familer with front ends could u point to where i have to look and how to check. And how can i check the gear box i can live with a pull but the steering is scary

    Hello i have a 98 chevy 1500 2wd 8 or 9in lifted on 35s Now my issue is the steering wheel has so much play i have to turn the wheel a good bit to the right to drive streight and if i let go well we are in for a ride to the left. Now iv heard it can be the gear box or such but what would u good...

    Ok think i got a winch bumper from the post above. Gonna angle iron a bumper get dimond plate paint black. Make the whoole bumper dimond plate look with a winch. Then build a brush guard on top gonna use qtr inch steel in a i shape for a middle run tubes between the two sides then brind tubes...

    My first idea was a dimond plate reinforced like the i belive the brand is tough country bumper brush guards. Where the bumper and brush guard are one whole peice. But what stopped me is i love the chrome bumper of the truck. But then again all the acents are black. Are there any plans out there...

    hello guys and gals.. i know its a very old post but i thought i would put here that i did get the truck going it was around 05/14/11 and she has been running like i top besides one day i broke a tie rod end and both ball joints on the passanger side.... lets just it was one hell of a ride..

    well i set it back to top dead center and i put the dist with roter button faceing number one plug and put cap on and still nothing! i wired it right the i double checked my work with the chilton. and it fired when it was way out of wack. when i let off the key it sounds like exhaust sound...

    You can't use a timing light on a vortec correct? I'm just gonna set it back to tdc

    Ya it was marked but idk what happened because when I fired it up it started to make a ringing noise with I figure is spark knock with is cylinder pre fire correct? Witch means advanced timing

    well i hope i got all the plastic out. i got the intake laid down and im a little nervous becuase when it was set down it was a little to far back but the bolt sucked it down but it moved a little so im gonna guess it didnt smear. i got it all back together but the destuributer i was slideing...

    well the bolt screws in ok now hope the passage is clean. I was hopeing to have "old big two foot" back together and running again buy 7pm today didnt happen lol. what is a good tip to line up the intake with block with out damage lol i dont have very steady hands.

    I don't got a shopvac with that much juice lol its snug I called a guy at gm as well he said heat up a screw and then just put it in there and it will ance it. Well that's not the case now I'm just stumped

    Wow can't seem to catch a break I was lowering the intake down over the plastic pen and the on the driver side rear end broke off in the holes. Now could I take a screw and head it red hot and then set it in there and let it cool and pull out? I can't get it needle nose or tweesers

    thanks much. now the real challange is running the bead while in the truck on the back. can rvt be aloud in the bolt holes when applying? idk if any of you do this but when i drop the intake on i take 4 bic pens and slide them in the bolt hole to get a real nice line up now my next...

    man that sucks i was thinking lock tight. but the guy said put some rvt on it like he did. and autozone is not to close lol. does anyone have any good pictures of the bead i dont wana do this again.

    ok well i used my brain and got a new intake gasket set im gonna pull the intake off again. and put a fat bead is it ok if it runs over the edges? How far should i cut the plastic peice the screws on to the tube of rvt? im gonna just do the lower intake and put the new port plate thing...

    oil leak

    on my truck it was leaking oil from the intake in the front mabey it could be leaking from the back on yours.

    well she runs fine. but i got to replace the darn intake gasket again idk i stoped to get gas and saw anti freeze coming out the back of the block thought it was a head but it looks like back of intake to me. well im not going to drive it till i change that. can i use the port injection gaskets...
