Someone just told me this, is it true?

If you change the intake a vortec v8 then it is rhe same as any other sbc? I thought the heads and cam where different also

Swap question

My buddy has a 95 single cab step side that is a 4.3 with 5 speed. He wants to put a v8 in. Will a sbc bolt to the trans and motor mounts or will he need to get all the little parts too? Just asking since it seems we hit pick n pull at 0800. Not having done more then swap water pumps on chevy...
